الملخص

This paper aims to know the reality of the apparent school of names and

attributes, represented by Imam Ibn Hazm, and does this school contradict

the righteous predecessors in attributes? What is the truth about what is

rumored about the deviation of Ibn Hazm and the apparent deviation in the

chapter on Attributes? and the research problem that needs to be solved is:

Ibn Hazm responded to the theological sects such as the Jahmiyyah, the

Murji’ah, and the Mu’tazila, in his book al-Fasl, so how does this fit with his

accusation that he is a Jahmee. The method followed in this research is the

inductive, analytical and critical method. The study concluded that Imam Ibn

Hazm was confused in this section, and sometimes contradicted it. This is

due to his influence on theology, and his lack of adherence to the approach

of the salaf in this chapter.The researcher concluded that what some scholars

mentioned about the violations of Imam Ibn Hazm in the Attributes Chapter

is true. He was right and wrong, and that he had some confusion because of

philosophy and theology. Sometimes he relied on the abstract mind in this

section. The researcher recommends continuing this topic, and knowing Ibn

Hazm's position on the attributes in detail.
