الملخص

The study aimed to highlight the role of Prince Hamdan Abu Anga in the

success of the Mahdist revolution in Kordofan through his military efforts.The

study used the historical analytical descriptive method, by examining the

Mahdist documents in addition to the historical references.The results of the

study were as follows: Prince Hamdan Abu Anga achieved many victories in

Nuba Mountains. He also raised the banner of Mahdia and empowered its

authority there. The study recommended the study of the Mahdist characters

who participated in the revolution since its beginning, It also gave researchers

the opportunity to view the Mahdi documents that have not yet been published.
